The floating park is a playful reinterpretation of public riverbanks and, together with other two adjacent parks, will form “het rondje Rijnhaven” around the former harbor, reclaiming a part of the city not previously used for enjoying the impressive panoramic view of the city. The entire development is part of a broader municipal strategy to build a more adaptable and sustainable future for the city. It will add green and spaces for the community while reflecting the nautical heritage of the area.
Drijvend Park will be assembled in two phases using modular components. This iterative approach maximizes future flexibility, the modules can be used to form the complete park or they can be used as stand-alone elements, or even used elsewhere.
