For many years now, advocates and communities around the world have focused on the Paris School Streets, not only because they make the streets on these blocks safer for children, but also because of the speed and quality of their implementation. Over the past 4 years, there have been many thousands of social media photos of School Streets in action, presentations by academics and safe streets advocates, and even a few video clips and the occasional news report from Paris about them, but there hasn’t been anything on the scale of even a short film.
So Streetfilms set out to change that by interviewing some people who could give a lot of background on Parisian school streets.
