Jane Fonda with a secret of aging well

A Yale study showed people with more positive age beliefs lived an average of 7.5 years longer than people who equated aging with disease and decline. In another word, one way to live longer is just to have a good attitude. But society is doing literally everything it can make sure we don’t have a good attitude, from beauty industry, simply ageless. What we see everything in the news.

People are happiest at the beginning and end of their lives. It’s called U curved of happiness and it’s been born out by dozens of studies around the world. What do we need to make that happiness curve rise? the answer is having a solid community. How we do build if we don’t have one?  There’s million ways to do it but one of them that you can start right away from almost everywhere is art class.

Art class is a great way to build a community. A national endowment for art study found art classes for older adults, increased mental engagement, increased physical activity. They found new or stronger relationships that they visit the doctor less often, they are less likely to fall.
